LINA | AI to protect, guide, and prevent gender-based violence
- Strategic and functional design of LINA
- Conversational assistant for guidance and prevention
- Geolocation system and service connection
The challenge
Humanitarian organizations face the challenge of reaching vulnerable populations in a timely manner and facilitating their access to information, services, and care routes, especially in migration contexts where risks of gender-based violence may increase. The challenge was to complement organizations' response capacity through an accessible digital channel, available when people need it and capable of identifying early signs of vulnerability, without relying exclusively on in-person care. To achieve this, it was necessary to integrate Artificial Intelligence, messaging, geolocation, and alert systems into a solution that could understand natural language, identify risk levels, guide toward available services, and generate prevention and education conversations about GBV.
Value delivered
We developed LINA, an intelligent prevention and guidance channel that expands humanitarian organizations' capacity to reach vulnerable populations in an accessible, timely, and scalable way. The solution integrates AI, natural language, geolocation, messaging, and alert systems to identify risk signals, categorize alerts, and connect people with relevant information, services, and care routes. Beyond responding to immediate needs, LINA turns conversation into an opportunity for prevention and education, generating personalized content about gender-based violence and migration-associated risks. The result: a technological solution that complements humanitarian care and enables early signal detection, guiding people toward protection mechanisms and strengthening prevention capabilities at scale.
